Sunflox-OD

Sunflox-OD

Sunflox-OD contains Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. The product is for a variety of bacterial and protozoal infections. A composition inhibits functions against causative bacteria on the lungs, throat, airways, and ear, and nose, and reduces their growth.

Ornidazole belongs to the group of medications called nitroimidazole derivatives and is an antiprotozoal. Generally, it targets bacteria or amoebas in the body and reduces them. As a result, It acts as an electron receptor in bacterial metabolism, causing growth disturbances in susceptible microorganisms. Active metabolites that interact with and disrupt DNA synthesis are responsible for its effects.

Ornidazole is used for certain types of vaginal, urinary tract, and intestinal infections, as well as some specific infections elsewhere in the body. These infections may involve parasites and anaerobic bacteria. Bacterial infections that do not require oxygen for growth and can survive in such conditions include giardiasis, virus vaginosis, amoebiasis, trichomoniasis, and are also considered in surgical prophylaxis. Ornidazole inhibits all functions related to virus development.

Ofloxacin is a member of the fluoroquinolone antibiotic class. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication through targeting and blocking the enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are essential for transcription, DNA replication, and repair. By blocking these enzymes, Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial cell division and ultimately causes virus cell death. It is for infections of the urinary tract, gastrointestinal system, female genital organs, bladder, prostate, pneumonia, skin and soft tissues, and lungs.

Droplets, vector transmission, direct and indirect contact, airborne, are some ways in which bacterial infection spreads.
